Iron Bean Coffee Company is a premium, small-batch, roast-to-order, veteran-owned coffee company.

We import high-quality beans from Colombia, Brazil, Uganda, Honduras, Peru, Ethiopia, Indonesia and a few other far-off corners of the world. Then we roast every batch ourselves in Ohio and ship it straight to you — no warehouses, no sitting on shelves, just fresh, kick-ass coffee heading to your doorstep.

Coffee makes a killer gift — especially for that perpetually tired human you adore (or tolerate). Any of our roasts will do, but Do Not Go Gentle is a fan-favorite when you want to send a memorable “you matter, now drink this” message.

A few tips when sending a gift directly to someone else:

  • Use your email at checkout so you get the order confirmation and tracking.
  • Use their name and address in the shipping fields so the package lands on their doorstep.

Short answer: we roast fresh, on purpose, every time.

We roast most days of the week, and depending on when you order, your coffee often ships the same day or the next business day. That means your coffee isn’t sitting in a warehouse, aging quietly. It’s roasted, packed, and shipped with one goal: to be the freshest coffee in your kitchen.

We currently ship with:

  • USPS (United States Postal Service)
  • UPS

Shipping rates are based on destination, weight, and service. We offer flat-rate options on most orders to keep things simple.

As soon as your order ships, we’ll send a tracking link to the email you used at checkout.

Click the tracking number in that email to see where your coffee is and when it’s expected to arrive.

Start with your shipping confirmation email — your tracking number is in there.

If the tracking shows “Delivered” but you don’t see the package:

  • Check with neighbors, a front desk, or package room.
  • Look in the usual “creative” spots carriers like to use (side door, porch box, garage, etc.).
  • If it’s still missing after 24 hours, reach out and we’ll help you sort it out.

Iron Bean Coffee Company offers flat-rate shipping on most orders.

Your rate is based on:

  • Where it’s going
  • The order weight
  • The service (USPS or UPS)

Flat rates may change from time to time as USPS and UPS update their published prices, but we always work to keep shipping as fair and straightforward as possible.

Pretty much everywhere.

We ship all across the United States and to many countries around the world. If you’re able to complete checkout with your address, we’ll get coffee to you.

Yes — absolutely.

For APO/FPO/DPO addresses:

  • Set the country to “United States”.
  • Use APO, FPO, or DPO as the city.
  • Choose AE, AP, or AA as the state (Armed Forces Europe, Pacific, or Americas).
  • Enter the correct APO/FPO zip code.

We can track the shipment to the APO facility. After that, it’s in military postal hands — so please be as detailed and accurate as possible with the unit and address info.

We move fast, so changes can be tricky once an order is in motion — but we’ll always try.

We can’t guarantee we’ll catch every order before it ships, but we’ll do everything we can.

Apparel & Gear

You can return apparel and non-coffee gear within 30 days of purchase for:

  • In-store credit
  • A refund
  • Or a replacement (depending on the item and situation)

Coffee

Because coffee is a fresh food product:

  • We can’t accept returns for credit or refund once the bag has been delivered.
  • If there is physical damage to the package or you believe it’s unsafe to consume, we’ll replace it with the same blend (or a similar blend of equal or lesser value).

We accept basically everything modern and legal, including:

  • Major credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, etc.)
  • PayPal
  • Shop Pay
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Venmo

If you can buy things online with it, chances are we take it.

To adjust your coffee subscription:

  • Log in to your Iron Bean account.
  • Under “Account Detail,” click “Manage Subscriptions.”
  • Choose “Edit” next to the subscription you want to change.
  • Update quantity, roast, schedule, etc.
  • Click “Submit” to save your changes.

Your security matters to us.

We use trusted, industry-standard payment processors (like PayPal and Shopify Payments) that handle encryption and security on their end. Your payment info is processed through secure, PCI-compliant systems — we don’t see or store your full card number.

Enemies of fresh coffee: humidity, air, heat, and light.

To keep your Iron Bean tasting its best:

  • Store it in a dark, airtight container at room temperature.
  • Avoid the fridge or freezer (condensation = sad beans).

Approximate freshness window:

  • Ground coffee: up to ~4 weeks in a good airtight container.
  • Whole bean: typically longer than a month when stored properly.

For maximum flavor, we always recommend grinding right before you brew.

On the final checkout page — before you click “Complete my purchase” — look for the discount or promo code box.

  • Enter your code.
  • Click “Apply”.
  • Your total will update to reflect the discount.
